About the team

Leighton Lillie, a 2001 Lewiston High graduate, moved from motocross to sprint boat racing after losing the use of his legs in a 2009 accident; all acceleration controls are on his steering wheel.

The boat's name is a nod to his longtime friend Ryan Rogers' Pure Insanity – "I'm out there trying to prevent my insanity by giving me something fun to do," Lillie told the Lewiston Tribune.
